Award-winning playwright Garry Michael Kluger's latest play, Aquarius Rising will have its world premiere at the UT Theatre of the Falcon Stages in April 2014. Kluger is also directing this limited engagement of his latest comedy. Kluger's other works include In A Yellow Wood, A Thorn In The Family Paw, and the award-winning plays Brotherhood and The Homecoming. The show will run April 10-18. All performances will be at 7:00pm.

The Girls' Theatre Alliance of Jackson High School is preparing to start work on their annual production. This year they've chosen to perform The Vagina Monologues. The school's principal has agreed to let them do this play, as long as they cut one word from the script: Vagina. He has also given them the option to perform a "safer" play, one that's a little more "appropriate." The girls tell the principal they will perform the suggested play, but they decide to actually present the play Aquarius Rising - as a surprise. By the time Aquarius Rising gets to its opening night, the members of the Girls' Theatre Alliance will really show just what they are made of.

The young and talented cast of Aquarius Rising includes Samantha Abelson, Olivia Bates, Hana Culbreath, Rosa Douglas, Jesse Gabor, Shawdon Hashemi, Emily Kluger, Caeli Mantanky, and Mia Tralongo.
