Supermodel, actor and TV personality Tyson Beckford, co-hosted the Men of Power & Influence Awards presented by rolling out magazine in Atlanta on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, alongside reality star Toya Wright.

During a presentation by Munson Steed, publisher and CEO of rolling out, Tyson was bestowed his very own Men of Power & Influence Award.

"He's the hip-hop generation's number one example of how to use the power of image with integrity," offers Munson Steed, when presenting the award to Beckford.

The recognition took Tyson totally by surprise. During his acceptance speech he says, "I didn't see this coming. It's an Honor to be among all of these honorees." He went on to share a story about his first job, being cast in a Ford commercial highlighting a yellow Mustang and how it propelled his career. Tyson is the first male supermodel. An aspiring actor, he expressed his modeling career is only part of his journey and his dreams of acting will be fulfilled in an upcoming film titled, "Addicted," loosely-based on a novel by Zane.

K.P. Smith, Ford's marketing development manager, also congratulated Tyson.
