Tony Award winner Tonya Pinkins (Caroline or Change) and Broadway performer Nick Adams (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) will perform at a benefit on Monday, November 12th at 7:30 PM at Etcetera Etcetera restaurant 352 West 44th street, to help raise money for The InterNational Theatre and Literacy Project ( ITLP). ITLP is a non-profit organization founded in 2005 dedicated to helping children and young adults in developing countries work their way out of poverty through theatre workshops that empower young people to be leaders in their communities, increase their English literacy skills and develop a sense of social justice and gender equity. Visit www.itlp.org for more information.
Ms. Pinkins and Mr. Adams will each sing a thirty minute set of their favorite Broadway songs. The event includes a selection of Italian wines and appetizers provided by Danielle Kucera, owner of Etcetera Etcetera, a silent auction that includes Broadway theatre tickets and dinner packages and a screening of a short documentary film by Rei Green, (Gunhill Road) about the ITLP workshops in the townships in South Africa in 2012.
