Tony Winner Glenn Close to Return to the Stage This Fall

According to The Associated Press,, three-time Tony Award winner Glenn Close is planning to return to the stage following a 15-year absence. "I am planning a play in the fall," the actress revealed in an interview on Monday at the Sundance Film Festival, where she is currently promoting her new film "Low Down."

When pressed for details as to which play she would be appearing in, the 'Sunset Boulvevard' star declined to give further details until an official announcement was made. "I'm not sure what the producer's plan is,"replied Close. "I think he might want more of a cast before."

Yet, the six-time Oscar nominee did hint, "The world that it is in is a world I know very well. It's just a very complex play. It's very challenging. It's like somebody said, `A mountain of a play.' I'm not coming back in a musical."

Three-time Tony Award-winner Glenn Close has appeared on Broadway in A Little Night Music, The Play What I Wrote, Sunset Boulevard, Death and the Maiden, Benefactors, The Real Thing, Barnum, The Crucifer of Blood, Rex, The Member of the Wedding, The Rules of the Game and Love for Love.

The actor's upcoming projects include Low Down, Guardians of the Galaxy, Anesthesia and 5 to 7. She has appeared on the big screen in Albert Nobbs, Heights, Nine Lives, The Stepford Wives, the TV movie version of South Pacific, 101 and 102 Dalmatians, Tarzan, In & Out, Air Force One and many more films.

Her TV credits include Damages, The Simpsons and The Shield.
