QUEER IN AMERICA
James Lecesne hosts an evening on how writers are working to make it better for LGBT youth. Watch a screening of the Academy Award-winning Live-Action Short Trevor, and hear writers read their own letters from The Letter Q: Queer Writers' Notes to Their Younger Selves. Lecesne, co-founder of the Trevor Project, is an actor and author of the YA novel Trevor. Amy Bloom's work has been shortlisted for the National Book Award and the NBCC Award. Michael Cunningham's books include the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Hours. Paul M. Rudnick is an American playwright (I Hate Hamlet, Jeffrey), screenwriter (Adams Family Values, In & Out, The Stepford Wives) and novelist (Social Disease, I'll Take It). Brian Selznick is a Caldecott-winning American author and illustrator of children's books, including The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Doug Wright is a playwright, librettist and screenwriter. He received the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for his play I Am My Own Wife.
