"The Poet's Corner," a collaboration between the Emelin Theatre and Larchmont-Mamaroneck County Television, will premiere on LMC-TV as part of LMC's "Poetry Month" this April. The presentation will be hosted by Broadway and film actor Michael Tolan (Broadway's A Hatful of Rain, Romanoff and Juliet, A Majority of One), and feature poetry performed by Broadway veterans as well as local students and poets.

Press notes state, "'The Poet's Corner' will be videotaped at LMC's Studios and the Emelin Theatre with an invited audience.  The show will be a half hour in length…The goal of the program is to provide a dramatic interpretation to poetry through performance as a way to entertain and invigorate the viewing audience… Poets of all genres from historical and narrative to romantic and contemporary and will be featured, and perhaps, a new poet laureate will be discovered."

The first installment of "The Poet's Corner is based around the theme "Favorite Poems" and will feature students from the Rye-Neck school middle-school and creative writing teacher / poet Eugenie Theall.
