Times Square Celebrates Marriage Equality With Special Offers

The Times Square Alliance announced today that Times Square will celebrate marriage equality with special deals from more than two-dozen local businesses. These special offers include discount hotel stays, up to 40% off of select Broadway shows, and pride packages at Times Square venues to help welcome all couples to celebrate their love at the Crossroads of the World. Couples can propose on a Times Square billboard, find the perfect wedding location, stay in a variety of fine hotels, enjoy their honeymoon, and even start their lives as newlyweds with a special home buying kit from TD Bank.

"Times Square is proud to share in the celebration of marriage equality," said Tim Tompkins, president of Times Square Alliance. "These special offers from Times Square businesses will ensure that ALL couples and their wedding guests will enjoy a pride-filled celebration in New York City with an endless supply of fun activities and great deals at the Crossroads of the World."

To Propose: Great Spots To Declare Your Love
Couples can declare their love for the world to see at locations including the Forever 21 Billboard, the MTV 44 ½ screen, the giant screen outside American Eagle Outfitters, and the ticker tape scrolling on the Times Square Hershey Store. They can also head to the ruby glass steps at Duffy Square to pop the question. After proposing, couples can visit Martinique Jewelers to get a 30% discount on all wedding bands and bridal jewelry.

To Celebrate: Wedding Venues and Hotel Offers
The Crowne Plaza Times Square celebrates "your right to unite" with a package that includes a limo to City Hall and Broadway Theater tickets. InterContinental New York Times Square's special offer "from City Hall to Times Square" is for those getting married on Sunday, July 24 and its "Something New, Something True" reception package includes white glove cocktail service and wedding cake.

Millennium Broadway Hotel offers a "pride wedding package" for couples looking to marry at an authentic Broadway Theater while the Hard Rock Cafe provides a unique outdoor wedding space.

Westin New York at Times Square and Havana Central both have several reception choices, and The TimesCenter has special rates for couples looking to tie the knot. Carolines on Broadway has a variety of cocktail reception and party options. Lastly, to celebrate marriage equality in New York, the package at Pulse Karaoke Lounge & Private Suites includes unlimited karaoke.
