The TONY Award-winning score from Titanic: The Musical is set to be staged for one night only at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center on February 17, 2014. Directed by Don Stephenson, with Music Direction by Kevin Stites, the performance stars almost all of the cast from the original Broadway musical, tickets are on sale now.

Following the phenomenal sold out success of Ragtime last year at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, Manhattan Concert Productions now refloats the magnificent score of Titanic that received Tony Awards for Best Orchestrations and Best Original Score in 1997, as part of their Broadway Series 2014. This once-off production will feature almost the entire cast of the original Broadway musical including Michael Cerveris, Brian d'Arcy James, Victoria Clark, Jill Paice and more.

Manhattan Concert Productions presents a concert performance of Titanic: The Musical on February 17, 8:00PM, Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. Tickets start at $50 and are available from www.lincolncenter.org, CenterCharge (212) 721-6500, or in person at Avery Fisher Hall box office, 10 Lincoln Center Plaza (Columbus Avenue at 65th Street).

Craig Arnold, Founder & Chairman, Manhattan Concert Productions said:

"We are delighted to be producing a concert version of the award winning musical, Titanic, with so many of the original cast. I was not surprised it received Tony awards for "Best Musical" and "Best Orchestrations." It is a beautiful score and a show that lends itself very well to concert performance. Last season, we produced the sold out concert version of Ragtime. We know that, similarly, Titanic, also has devoted fans and followers."

Much speculation surrounded the original production during its run on Broadway, and previews at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in April of 1997 were shrouded by mishaps and technical difficulties, leading to mostly negative reviews. Manhattan Concert Productions will now raise Titanic from the depths, highlighting the award-winning score, and present what BroadwayWorld.com referred to as a "cast of dreams" which includes Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Brian d'Arcy James and Jill Paice, accompanied by a 220-strong chorus and the enlarged forces of New York City Chamber Orchestra.

The full cast will include Becky Ann Baker, as Charlotte Cardoza; Bill Buell, as Edgar Beane; Michael Cerveris, as Thomas Andrews; Victoria Clark, as Alice Beane, Brian d'Arcy James, as Frederick Barrett; Jill Paice, as Caroline Neville, please visit www.mcp.us for the full cast listing.

The guest musicians of the 220-piece chorus will spend four days in New York City rehearsing and working side-by-side with the professional principal cast, as part of Manhattan Concert Productions' continued work bringing professionals and students together.
