SAY: The Stuttering Association for the Young (www.say.org) (formerly Our Time) will be presenting four original One-Act Plays written and directed by teens who stutter, and performed by professional actors. The teens are part of the organization's innovative Confident Voices program, which helps kids who stutter find their voice.

The four short plays will be offered October 31st - November 1st, at The Five Angels Theatre. Those works include Omari Fabor's "The Legend of Achilles," Dennis Freeman's "Responsibility," Tianna Richards' "The Silent One," and "Expectations," by Amy Rodriguez. Show times are October 31st at 7:30pm, and November 1st at 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are free of charge, reservations are recommended.

With thought-provoking themes of Bullying, Courage, and Doing The Right Thing, SAY's teens and their casts of professional actors treat us to must-see theatrical experiences. This production is the culmination of SAY's One-Act Play Activity. Under the mentorship of professional artists, 4 teens who stutter have written and directed original plays that will be performed by professional actors. Q&A talkbacks with the teen writer/directors will follow each performance.

The professional mentors for this program include Tony-nominated directors Thomas Kail (In the Heights) and Sheryl Kaller (Next Fall), and award-winning writers including Nell Benjamin (Legally Blonde), Adam Gwon (Ordinary Days), and Liz Tuccillo (He's Just Not That Into You). The performances will feature professional actors, including Kaliswa Brewster, Ned Eisenberg, Michael Gregory, Brandon Guidry, Kelsey Nash, Ryan Pater, Travis Robertson, Aidan Sank, and Ned Van Zandt.

The four one-act plays have a total running time of two hours. Five Angels Theatre is located in Manhattan at 789 10th Avenue (between 52nd and 53rd streets). Tickets are available at: http://bit.ly/1xL0GZE, or by calling 212-414-9696, and at the door. Learn more at SAY.org.
