Theatre Aspen has announced that the annual benefit gala, to be held on March 8th at 6:30 pm at the Hotel Jerome has sold out. This year's theme is "The Disco Ball," and the glittery evening will feature entertainment, dinner, DJ, silent and live auctions and disco dancing.

Theatre Aspen's winter gala is the not-for-profit's most important fundraising event, raising money for an award-winning summer repertory theatre and an extensive year-round education program. The popular annual event is open to the public.

"After last year's record-breaking season, we are viewing everything we do as an opportunity to surprise, and to delight. This night will exemplify all we intend to become, so our guests can see first-hand why we're necessary and fun to support," said Theatre Aspen's Executive Artistic Director, Paige Price.

The theatre announced its upcoming repertory season, which opens with the crowd-pleasing musical The Full Monty (book by Terrence McNally, music and lyrics by David Yazbek) on June 26th. Next to open is Little Women, a contemporary musical based on the classic novel by Louisa Mae Alcott, by Allan Knee ("Finding Neverland"), Jason Howland (music) and Mindi Dickstein (lyrics), and the new Noel-Coward inspired comedy The Cottage, written by Sandy Rustin Fleischer.

Sponsors for this year's gala include ANB Bank, Tito's Vodka and Aspen Sojourner.

Productions take place in the Hurst Theatre in Rio Grande Park and will be underwritten by season sponsor ANB Bank, with the generous support of Liz and Jane Armstrong, Nancy Wall and Chuck Wall, Hays Private Client, Jim and Brenda Grusecki, The City of Aspen, Shane Aspen Real Estate and The Aspen Club and Spa.
