Theatre Aspen's annual benefit gala will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at the Hotel Jerome. The evening will feature dinner, DJ, silent and live auctions, a raffle and dancing. Lorna Kelly, the auctioneer for New York's Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS annual auction and formerly of Sotheby's New York, will preside over the live auction.

Theatre Aspen's winter gala is the not-for-profit's most important fundraising event, raising money for an extensive year-round education program and an award-winning summer repertory theatre. This year's theme is "Broadway Bash" - a 30th Anniversary theatrical celebration of everyone's favorite Broadway characters, brought to life by the dress-up happy supporters of the theatre.

"This year we're doing what we do best - a burst of performance amid the fundraising, so our guests can see first-hand why our work is so rewarding. We're going big this season, so our gala will reflect that, and we're looking forward to giving an exciting preview of LES MISERABLES," said Theatre Aspen's Artistic Director, Paige Price.

Single tickets for Theatre Aspen's Broadway Bash Benefit are tax-deductible. For further information contact Director of Development Beth Levin at 970-925-9313 x 205.

Sponsors for this year's gala include ANB Bank, Aspen Sojourner, Stolichnaya Vodka, Milagro Tequila and Trinchero Family Estates.

The new Hurst Theatre is the setting for the 30th Anniversary season, which opens with the Tony Award-winning epic musical LES MISERABLES on June 25th. The season also includes You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, based on the beloved comic strip "Peanuts," by Charles M. Schulz, (July 10th - Aug 18th) and the one-man comedy Fully Committed (July 5th - Aug 16th).

LES MISERABLES will be directed by Carbonell Award-winner Mark Martino. Multiple Emmy Award-winner Jay Sandrich will direct Fully Committed, by Becky Mode and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown will be directed by Artistic Director Paige Price, with choreography by Broadway veteran JoAnn M. Hunter.

Productions will be underwritten by season sponsor ANB Bank, with the generous support of The City of Aspen, Darlynn and Tom Fellman, Jim and Brenda Grusecki, Charles and Nancy Wall, Mandy Gray and Randy Work, Dan and Maureen Holman, Betsy Fifield, Jackie and Jerry Kehle, Kristin Nelson, The Aspen Club and Spa and Les Dames d'Aspen.
