There's no doubt about it - Leona Lewis is the biggest star to come out of The X Factor. In fact, without her success it's conceivable that the show would no longer exist. It would be hard to will on your favourite contestant to win if all they stood to gain was a career like Shayne Ward's or Steve Brookstein's. (Non-British readers will now no doubt be asking, "Who?" Well, exactly.)

Leona's international glory raised the stakes, and the quality of contestants has certainly improved in her wake, as her success demonstrated that the X Factor can be the ticket to worldwide fame and
recognition. Leona's flawless live performances and perfect pop hits combined to make her a star, but now, with her second album impending, it's time to find out if she can become a superstar. First single
Happy is an attempt to recreate Bleeding Love, and unfortunately doesn't pack the same punch, but the album's credits (including Max Martin and Xenomania) suggest that the real gems are yet to be heard.

The video for Happy isn't out yet, but here she is on America's Got Talent.

What do you think?
