Jim Caruso's Cast Party and TheaterMania.com, the leading source for exclusive theater information and live-events tickets nationwide, are proud to announce THE Todd Londagin FIVE Monday, July 7, 2008 at 7:00p.m., as part of the long-running, Nightlife Award-winning concert series Broadway at Birdland.

Todd Londagin's return to Birdland will mark another unforgettable night along with his quintet, THE Todd Londagin FIVE. Having showcased his 18-piece big band on the legendary Birdland stage twice before, as well as being a semi-regular at Jim Caruso's Cast Party, LONDAGIN is raring to go in bringing back the nostalgia of music's greatest decades.

THE Todd Londagin FIVE are LONDAGIN on trombone and vocals, PETE SMITH on guitar, MATTHEW RAY on piano, DAVID BERGER on drums and JENNIFER VINCENT on bass. The quintet will present a mix of the American Songbook and New Orleans jazz along with original songs and new arrangements of the more daring standards. Expect plenty of hat-tipping to Nat King Cole and a couple of vaudeville surprises thrown in for fun.

A pop vocalist with a jazz sensibility, Todd Londagin has a deep understanding of the essence of popular American songwriting from the 30's through to the 50's.   LONDAGIN has been compared to the likes of Chet Baker and Harry Connick Jr., and needless to say, he doesn't mind one bit.

Ron Netsky of Rochester's City Newspaper say "Todd Londagin is one dapper dude; he's dashing and downright debonair. His slick Hollywood good looks may precede (but never overshadow) his trombone playing, or the relaxed cadence of his pleasant tenor. Based in New York City, Londagin fronts his own five-piece and 18-piece outfits. He swings elegantly with class - and the world-weary wisdom of an old-school busker."
