On Monday June 22, 2015 Theater People Podcast welcomes Tony nominee Kerry Butler. Currently starring as Hillary Clinton in CLINTON THE MUSICAL at New World Stages, Butler made her Broadway debut in BLOOD BROTHERS before replacing as Belle in BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

Early in her career, she gained a avid following for her work in the off-Broadway cult hit BAT BOY before originating the role of Penny Pingleton in the 2002 Tony Award winning best musical HAIRSPRAY. In 2003, she starred as Audrey in the first Broadway production of LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. In 2007, she received her first Tony nomination for her work playing the role of Kira in the surprise hit musical XANADU. Other Broadway credits include CATCH ME IF YOU CAN and GORE VIDAL'S THE BEST MAN.


For the episode, Butler talks about finding her way in to the character of Hillary Clinton, shares memories and stories from her career, and talks about her passion for working with children and parents within the foster care system.
