OHIO, REVISITED, an original work from writer/director Cara Scarmack and ensemble The Roadsters, has a special one-night-only performance at Dixon Place tonight, September 6. The Roadsters will be returning from their US Tour of the piece at the Off Center in Burlington, Vermont (Aug 22-25).

OHIO, REVISITED is the second iteration of an original, experimental theatre piece with music that teems with urgency to feel alive before we die. Staged with wild imagination, the show is a gutsy meditation on loss and a look into how we pass things on.

OHIO, REVISITED features ten original, transcendent songs with four-part harmonies, poetic text, magnificent physicality, and absurdist happenings, all set against a quilted backdrop of 1950s America, nostalgia, dreams, death, anguish and joy. The intersecting of these elements creates an alive, immediate and intimate performance experience. The story is here and now. And it takes you way back to the old days…

The performance is tonight, September 6th at 7:30pm.

OHIO, REVISITED was written and directed by Cara Scarmack; Performance by Priscilla Holbrook, Ashley Nease, Stephanie Viola and Nathan Richard Wagner; Music Composition by The Roadsters; Properties Design Claire Karoff; Lighting Design Christopher Weston.

Tickets are $12 in advance and are available through https://www.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/900735. For more information: http://theroadsters.wordpress.com/.

The Dixon Place Lounge is open before, during, and after the show. Proceeds directly support Dixon Place’s artists and mission.

The Roadsters are theatre practitioners Priscilla Holbrook, Ashley Nease, Cara Scarmack, Stephanie Viola, and Nathan Richard Wagner. They convene on a regular basis to practice a bigger way of living and to deepen their understanding of humanity.
