The stellar Moscow Festival Ballet returns to Lehman Center for the Performing Arts for the second time this season, after its production of Swan Lake, with a fully-staged production of the timeless classic fairytale Cinderella on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at 4pm.  Lehman Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall is located at 250 Bedford Park Blvd. W. on the campus of Lehman College in the Bronx. Tickets are affordably priced at $40, $35 & $25 with tickets for children 12 and under at only $10 for any seat. 

The company’s dramatic and beautiful interpretation of the well-loved Cinderella comes complete with wicked stepsisters, glass slippers and happy endings and with Prokofiev’s sweeping score it will  enchant audiences of all ages. The jubilant production is the work of one of Russia’s most esteemed ballet companies. “This was an afternoon that deserved ‘bravos’ within minutes of the opening steps.” (Las Vegas Review-Journal) 

Sergei Radchenko, legendary principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet, founded the company in 1989 to create an ensemble that would bring together the highest classical elements of the great Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet companies. Under his direction, leading dancers from across Russia now stage exciting new productions of timeless classics.

The performance of Cinderella takes place on Sunday, April 22 at 4pm.  Lehman Center for the Performing Arts Concert Hall is located at 250 Bedford Park Blvd. W. on the campus of Lehman College/CUNY in the Bronx.  Tickets cost $40, $35 and $25, and for children 12 and under, $10 any seat.  Tickets can be purchased through 24 hour online access at www.LehmanCenter.org or by calling the Lehman Center box office at 718-960-8833 open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm and beginning at 12 noon on the day of the concert.  Lehman Center is accessible by #4 or D train to Bedford Park Blvd., and is right off several major highways, including the Henry Hudson Parkway, the Saw Mill River Parkway and Major Deegan Expressway.  There is low-cost on-site parking available for $5. 

Lehman Center is supported, in part, with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the New York City Council. The 2011-2012 season is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature, JPMorgan Chase and through corporations, foundations and private donations. Special $10 tickets for children are underwritten by Con Edison.
