The Miss Education of Jenna Bush, starring Melissa Rauch (from VH1's hit series "Best Week Ever") has been selected to be performed as part of the 12th Annual U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, which will take place in Aspen, Colorado from March 8th – 12th, 2006.

One of the hits of the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival, The Miss Education of Jenna Bush, co-written by Rauch and Winston Beigel, will play three performances at the festival: Wednesday, March 8 at 9 PM, Friday, March 10 at 2:30 PM and Saturday, March 11 at 7 PM.

In the comedy, "the President's notoriously rebellious daughter – having just awoken from a blow-out kegger – prepares for her new job teaching fourth graders on the eve of her first day at school. From underage drinking citations and (alleged) pot smoking to America's public school system – 'Miss Jenna' rewrites history with a lesson plan you'll never forget," according to press notes.

The show played five sold-out performances at The Village Theatre as part of the 2005 New York International Fringe Festival. The show received the Fringe Award for Outstanding Solo Show in addition to TheaterMania.com's Audience Favorite Award.

Rauch can be seen weekly on VH1's hit series "Best Week Ever." The comedian, who was recently named one of Back Stage's "10 Comedy Best Bets of 2005," began her professional stand-up career when she was voted "Best College Comedian" on MTV's "TRL" by Jamie Foxx and Carson Daly. She has toured with the critically acclaimed political satire troupe Gross National Product, performing in their 2004 productions of Son of a Bush and Kerry the Vote. She can be seen in Tom DiCillo's upcoming feature film Delirious opposite Steve Buscemi. Rauch and writing partner Winston Beigel currently have a writing deal with Paramount Television.

"Founded in 1995, the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival sponsored by HBO, has a mission to discover, support and nurture comedic talent through the presentation of fresh, original voices in live performance, writing, theater, film and television. Each year, the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival (USCAF) presents cutting-edge new talent to the industry and features appearances and performances by some of the biggest stars in comedy at the height of ski season in Aspen, Colorado. The Festival is an important gathering place for talent, industry and media leaders who make comedy the driving, multi-billon dollar engine of the film and television industry."
