For two weeks beginning April 28, 2014, Minnesota Opera will return to the St. Cloud community for a third opera education residency. Minnesota Opera Teaching Artist Bergen Baker and other Minnesota Opera professionals will work with the sixth grade students of St. Cloud Public Schools, teaching them about Mozart and opera through interactive lessons and group rehearsals.

With this residency, which reprises a successful collaboration with the Paramount Arts District and members of the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Opera anticipates having reached more than 2,600 students and adults since 2012 in St. Cloud.

Over the course of this residency alone, Baker will travel to four schools and serve nearly 700 students. This residency will culminate with a performance of "Through the Eyes and Ears of Mozart," a 50-minute program presenting the life and music of the famous composer, onWednesday, May 7, at 10am at the Paramount Theatre and Visual Arts Center.
