The Listies Ruin Xmas is a show with a mission: to make families laugh as much as possible in 55 minutes.

Known for their gross-out comedy, DIY props and hilarious onstage antics, The Listies are guaranteed to give kids and adults alike a theatre outing they won't soon forget.

The irrepressible comedy duo features Richard Higgins and Matthew Kelly, who bring their unique brand of juvenile humour to the muchloved and well-respected genre of the Christmas pantomime.

'This hilarious pair of anarchists will throw away the out-dated clichés of the Christmas panto and replace it with an outragreous and very contemporary type of theatrical madness,' said Matthew Lutton, Artistic Director of Malthouse Theatre.

A double act in the mode of Morecambe and Wise, Rich is the sensible one and Matt his naughty, childlike foil.

While adults will also be in for a treat, The Listies Ruin Xmas will be chock-full of all the classy things kids love like poo jokes, vomit and interactive mayhem.

'Theatre isn't just an experience for adults; the adrenaline and anarchy of theatre is for everyone,' said Lutton. 'No one can time a poo joke better than The Listies.'

This wickedly funny production avoids the usual corny clichés by treating the whole family to a uniquely Malthouse Theatre holiday experience that will leave everyone with a cheeky grin.

'Nobody else does comedy for kids this brilliantly, but what's more astounding is that adults have just as much fun. The Listies occupy a dimension all of their own.' - The Age

'This manic Australian double act know all the right buttons to push to make children shriek with laughter...parents are likely to enjoy it just as much, even when they're the butt of the jokes.' - The Guardian
