The Jezabels are thrilled to announce their rescheduled North American tour dates on the heels of the news they had to postpone the trek earlier this week. Originally set to kick things off tonight in Los Angeles at the El Rey Theatre, the band ran into some unexpected issues that forced them to make the very difficult decision to push the tour back a couple of months. In a statement to fans via their Facebook page on Monday they wrote...

To all of our amazing fans and supporters in North America. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are being forced to postpone our upcoming US and Canadian tour dates, set to start this Wednesday in Los Angeles. Be assured, we are working hard to reschedule the shows to take place in June and will update everyone as soon as possible. Every effort will be made to keep the shows in their original venues, so please hold on to your tickets for now. Once we finalize the new tour dates, we will post complete details as well as instructions for those seeking refunds.

Thankfully they were able to reschedule these fairly quickly with the exception of Portland which they had to regrettably cancel due to timing. In addition, most of the June dates will be hitting the same venues and Arts & Crafts recording artist Gold & Youth is still confirmed as main support.

The upcoming North American run is in support of the band's new full-length studio album The Brink (PIAS). Produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat (The Kooks, The Vaccines, Scissor Sisters), the album debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums chart and had the US press raving. Entertainment Weekly included them in their "Must List" writing "Powered by singer Hayley Mary's dramatic vocals, the Australian band's sweeping second album pours together the best parts of their U2-inspried '80s rock into one swooning, fully intoxicating mix." Elle described the band as "Kate Bush by way of U2" and Noisey wrote, "The Brink is a bold cut of emotive, epic-pop hinged on Hayley's sky-scaling Stevie Nicks-ian melodies (with a pinch of the 80s thrown in for good measure)."
