The Immediate Family presents Henrik Ibsen's PEER GYNT, adapted by Scott Raker, from the English translation by William and Charles Archer, directed by Haas Regen. PEER GYNT features original music written and performed by Mackenzie Shivers, inspired by Edvard Grieg's score. PEER GYNT will be performed Friday, December 5th through Saturday, December 20th, at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory (104 W 14th Street, NYC). The press opening is scheduled for Sunday, December 7th at 3 PM. Tickets are $17.00 and are now on sale online via Ovation Tix - https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/cal/34181.

The Immediate Family has distilled Henrik Ibsen's classic four-hour opus into a 90-minute actor-driven romp. Scott Raker's hilarious adaptation explores the unfixed nature of identity by having three actors play the title role, while the rest of the ensemble creates palaces, troll kingdoms, and far-away deserts around them. Composer Mackenzie Shivers adds to the magic by performing her re-imaginings of Edvard Grieg's famous score. It's the Immediate Family's signature style, acclaimed by The New York Times as "smart, droll theater on a shoe-string."

The cast of PEER GYNT features Britannie Bond, Jessica Crandall, Rebecca Hirota, David Jacobs, Lizzie King-Hall, Khris Lewin, Scott Raker, Jude Sandy, and Rudi Utter.

The Immediate Family was founded by company members Haas Regen, Lizzie King-Hall, Scott Raker and Piper Goodeve (all graduates of the MFA program at Brown University/Trinity Rep). The Immediate Family previously presented Haas Regen's adaptation of PERCEVAL, directed by Scott Raker, at the 2013 New York International Fringe Festival.

PEER GYNT will play a strictly limited engagement -- Friday, December 5th through Saturday, December 20th, at the Alchemical Theatre Laboratory (104 West 14th Street, NYC).
