The Hornitz are on tour and will be making a stop in Brooklyn next month.

The Hornitz (Friendship & Stoobacca) was founded in May 2006 as a horn-section-for-hire in and around the Boston area. The group worked with many notable artists such as George Clinton, Guster, and State Radio, but in 2008 The Hornitz began producing original music as a duo.

"After a few years of experimenting and fine-tuning, Friendship and I have created a show that is one of the most dynamic spectacles ever produced by two people," said Stoo.

Using Human Beatbox, Bass Trombone, Tenor Saxophone, Keyboards, and live-looping equipment, they create the biggest, baddest party-funk experience you've never heard in your life!

"When I heard The Hornitz doin' their thing, I could imagine myself playing percussion behind them, creating something crazy. They don't have a normal set up, which I like, it's fresh and musically it could go anywhere." ~ Eric Bobo of Cypress Hill

The Hornitz are a Massachusetts based power duo that bring out the funk like you've never seen before. Using only live recorded sounds and looping equipment, the pair build their performance piece by piece until they have a funky, electronic dance-inducing horn fest that can't be stopped. Comprised of Human Beatbox and Bass Trombone player, "Friendship", & Tenor Sax and Keyboard/Organ player, "Stoobaka Dashiki", the pair create a one of a kind, mind altering experience that flood the house with high energy dance parties.

The duo started off as a horn section for hire, supporting artists such as George Clinton, Guster, State Radio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Earphunk, Sophistafunk, the Mantras and others while playing shows and music festivals from Nova Scotia to Georgia. The Hornitz has evolved into a powerful stand alone performance, and they remain one of the best supporting horn sections that exists in the northeast. Championing a full repertoire of original music as well as grab bag of personalized tributes,The Hornitz are one of the most dynamic and expansive spectacles ever produced by two people.
