The Future Has Arrived! BroadwayWorld.com Launches 'First to Market' App on New Apple TV

BroadwayWorld.com, the world's largest theatre web site and live entertainment platform, is thrilled to announce the release of the popular site's Apple TV App, joining the much-anticipated launch of Apple's new "future of television" product release. This is the first and only App devoted to all things theatrical and video in content. The App is available NOW, in the new Apple TV App Store.

As Apple's product announcement reads "We gather together around our big screens to watch big shows and big events. Yet somehow, the overall experience of TV has continued to stagnate. Until now. It all starts by recognizing that apps are the future of television."

BroadwayWorld has always been a big believer in the intersection of technology and live entertainment, so when given the opportunity and access to developer units - we jumped right on board and have been hard at work in the BWW labs for weeks now.

The new App will feature ALL of BroadwayWorld.com's industry leading video content, including Show Previews, Opening Nights, Red Carpets, Special Events, Concerts and Touring Productions, alongside our own EXCLUSIVE programs including Backstage with Richard Ridge, Chewing the Scenery with Randy Rainbow, 5 Minute Call, Cutting Edge Composers, Broadway Quick Change, and SCHOOL'D.

The TV content will mirror 'high-def' versions currently available on the site, including both pre-roll and post-roll.

Additionally, we will be offering 'Sponsored Channels' with custom content, messaging and artwork that will run on both the Apple TV, as well as through the site and social channels.
