THE BARROW GROUP, in association with Theatre Communications Group, will host Mike Birbiglia In Conversation with Seth Barrish on Tuesday, June 23 at The Barrow Group, 312 W. 36th Street, New York, NY 10018 (Birbiglia's attendance subject to change). The evening of conversation will celebrate the release of An Actor's Companion, a new book from longtime theatre educator Seth Barrish.

Including a forward by Academy Award-Winner Anne Hathaway, An Actor's Companion is an ideal companion of tips and exercises for both seasoned professionals and beginning actors. Publisher Terence Neimath will introduce Barrish and Birbiglia for conversation, a Q&A session, book signing, and light refreshments.

The Barrow Group launched their season on June 10 with the Pulitzer Prize Nominated play THE PAVILION, co-directed by Lee Brock and Alyson Schacherer. THE PAVILION began previews on June 10, 2015 and officially opened on Monday, June 15, 2015 at TBG Theatre at The Barrow Group (312 West 36th Street 3rd Floor. THE PAVILION runs for a strictly limited engagement through June 28, 2015.

THE PAVILION stars Seth Barrish ("Veep," "Damages") as the Narrator, Dusty Brown (Phoenix, The Upright Citizens Brigade) as Peter, and Julie Voshell (The Beast) as Kari. Hailed by critics as an "an Our Town for our time," The Pavilion brings us into a beautifully rendered world that is funny, heartbreaking, and most of all, life-affirming. The 2015/2016 season will also include the return of the 24-HOUR PLAY FEST in August 2015, followed by the 8th Annual SHORT STUFF, an evening of new short works, in November 2015. In January 2016, Anthropological Theatricals in association with The Barrow Group will present TRUE HAZARDS OF CHILDHOOD, a new devised theatre piece performed by Jean E. Taylor and Andres Petersen, and directed by Eric Nightengale.

The Barrow Group develops sophisticated, yet remarkably simple techniques that increase spontaneity in performance and clarity in storytelling.
