Are you dreaming of traveling to a far off place? Photographing lions and elephants on an African Safari? Prefer a fabulous weekend in New York City at the Metropolitan Opera or a fancy cocktail party for you and your friends based off the hit TV show "Mad Men"? These and many more one-of-a kind items are being auctioned off at the A2SO's annual Hearts for the Arts fundraiser, on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Barton Hills Country Club. This special evening, now in its nineteenth year, benefits the extensive community-wide youth educational and artistic programs of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.

The event will feature an elegant champagne reception, a not-to-be missed chef's dinner, the lovely sound of music by Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra musicians led by A2SO Conductor and Music Director Arie Lipsky, and a lively not-so-silent auction. Silent Auction Items will also be available to anyone interested in bidding online and through bid on through Bidding for Good beginning in early February.

This year, the A2SO recognizes Honorary Chairs Cheryl and Bruce Elliott, longtime community leaders and Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra supporters. Cheryl, recently retired as the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation President and CEO, and Bruce, partner at the Law Offices of Conlin, McKenney, and Philbrick, P.C., are lifelong community arts supporters, and patrons of the A2SO.

The dollars generated by this important event go to the A2SO's education and artistic programs serving over 30,000 youngsters through 50 Ensembles in our Schools, two Youth Concerts, scores of Instrument Petting Zoos, and 15 free KinderConcerts for toddlers. Music Education programs help children develop critical thinking skills, improve spatial relationship skills and open new doors of opportunity and learning.

Your Hearts for the Arts ticket will include the champagne reception, a delicious dinner, live music and the entertaining live and silent auctions. This event is open to the public by reservation. Please visit our website, a2so.com, or call (734)994-4801 to make reservations.

The A2SO is a premier regional orchestra offering live symphonic music to over 80,000 patrons of all ages in venues ranging from the historic Michigan Theater and Hill Auditorium as well as schools, daycares, libraries, farmers markets, and various senior citizen centers in the five-county area.
