Texas Rep Theatre Co. to Present SANDERS FAMILY CHRISTMAS, 12/4-23

The Texas Rep Theatre Co., Houston's Uptown Classic Theatre, continue to celebrates its 10th holiday season with the toe-tapping, foot stomping bluegrass musical Sanders Family Christmas. This sequel to The Texas Repertory's hit musical Smoke on the Mountain will preview December 4th, Open on December 5th and run 5 performances a week through December 23rd.

Join us for a toe-tapping bluegrass Christmas filled with humor and nostalgia. Set in 1941 as their eldest son prepares to leave for WWII, the gospel-singing Sanders family returns to a small church in the wildwood to share their stories of warmth and family amidst a rousing collection of Christmas tunes, all done with good humor and filled with the spirit of the season. The sequel to our 2007 summer smash Smoke on the Mountain, this installment finds the Sanders clan as musical, quirky, and entertaining as ever. The Texas Repertory Theatre production of Sander's Family Christmas features Texas Rep company members Shohdra Marie, Ted Doolittle, and Steven Fenley as well as Amber Grant, Trace Pool and Nick Reid making their Texas Rep debut under the direction of Scott Carr.
