TOSOS ("The Other Side of Silence") is dedicated to preserving the theatrical heritage of the LGBT community through the development of new plays by emerging artists as well as revivals of established works. Our productions honestly explore the unique LGBT experience and cultural sensibilities in a life-affirming and respectful way. TOSOS was originally formed in 1974 by playwright Doric Wilson. During its five-year existence, this first TOSOS featured new plays and revivals by playwrights from Brendan Behan and Noel Coward to Terrence McNally, Robert Patrick, Martin Sherman, and Lanford Wilson.

Reborn in 2001, the new TOSOS annually stages Off-Off-Broadway productions of new or classic LGBT-themed plays, and develops new works every year through its Chesley / Chambers Playwright and Ethyl Eichelberger Solo Show Projects.
TOSOS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

2017 ST. PAT'S FOR ALL PARADE

The St. Pat's for All parade celebrates the diversity of the Irish and Irish American communities of New York. First held in 2000, St. Pat's for All cherishes and celebrates an inclusive St. Patrick's season. Ours is the first in the 260 years + of Irish parades in New York City to be open and welcoming to all who wish to share in the spirit of the day. We err on the side of hospitality. Our theme "cherishing all the children of the nation equally" is taken from the 1916 Easter Proclamation of the Irish Republic. It is a vision drawn from our past and a guide for our present & future.

This will be the 18th annual St Pats For All celebration. On March 5th we will gather once again in Sunnyside and Woodside to celebrate our Irish culture and heritage. Whether in exile, fleeing famine, or pursuing dreams and hopes for liberty, equality and happiness, the Irish through the centuries have scattered across the globe always enhancing the communities they join.
