Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) production of The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin will conclude its limited engagement on Sunday, August 25, 2013 at 2:00PM. The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin, by Steven Levenson, features Christopher Denham, Lisa Emery, Sarah Goldberg, David Morse, Rich Sommer, and is directed by Scott Ellis.

The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin will have played 32 preview performances and 68 regular performances. Previews began on May 31, 2013 and the production officially opened on June 27, 2013 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre (111 West 46th Street).

The design team includes Beowulf Boritt (Sets), Jeff Mahshie (Costumes), Donald Holder (Lights), and Obadiah Eaves (Original Music & Sound).

From playwright Steven Levenson (The Language of Trees) comes a world premiere play about the price we pay for defaulting on those we love. Tom Durnin (Morse) did the time for his white-collar crime and is now determined to win back the respect he believes he deserves, no matter the price. Tom's son allows his father to camp out on his couch, hoping he has finally turned a new page. Can Tom find a place in a family that has worked so hard to move on without him?

The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin was commissioned by Roundabout Theatre Company following Levenson's New York debut withThe Language of Trees at Roundabout Underground, in 2008.

The Unavoidable Disappearance of Tom Durnin plays Tuesday through Saturday evening at 7:30PM with Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00PM.
