Presented by Eva Price and co-written by Josh Koenigsberg, a writer for Netflix's award-winning hit Orange is the New Black, comes the World Premiere of The Rise and Fall of Marcus Monroe. When Marcus takes the stage, you can't help but take notice. Marcus Monroe (winner of the 2012 Andy Kauffman Award) combines innovative juggling with his unique brand of comedic energy in The Rise and Fall of Marcus Monroe, a feat of spectacle story-telling by the "Rock Star of Jugglers" (New York Press).

Taking the New York stage before storming the Edinburgh Fringe Festival next month, The Rise and Fall of Marcus Monroe will be previewing this special engagement of the World Premiere on July 26th and 27th at the Jeffrey and Paula Gural Theatre at the A.R.T./New York Theatres, located at 502 West 53rd Street, New York, NY 10019. Marcus Monroe is a New York City based, award-winning comedian and juggler with his high-energy blend of innovative juggling and in-your-face comedic banter riddled with awkwardness. Marcus is the recipient of the prestigious Andy Kaufman Award and his many TV credits include recent appearances on The Late Show, HBO, MTV, ITV, and Netflix. The New York Times has selected Marcus's show as a Critic's Pick and calls Marcus "one of the most entertaining performers to watch in New York City."

Internationally, Marcus starred in the Olivier Award-winning London production of La Soirée. He competed alongside TV presenter and BBC radio host Gaby Roslin in ITV's Get Your Act Together. Marcus has performed his one-man show at the Brighton Fringe Festival.

Most recently, he has performed at the Great American Comedy Festival, NY Comedy Festival, Bonnaroo, TEDxBroadway, and Outside Lands alongside with acclaimed performer and actor Neil Patrick Harris. He is a favorite among cruise lines, performing arts centers, comedy clubs, universities and festivals across the United States and beyond. Josh Koenigsberg (Writer) a Drama Desk-nominated playwright and screenwriter whose credits include the Emmy-winning Netflix series ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK. His plays have been produced and developed in the US & UK by Ars Nova, The Atlantic Theater, Manhattan Theatre Club, Naked Angels, The Old Vic, The Public Theater, Second Stage, SPACE on Ryder Farm, Williamstown Theater Festival, the 24 Hour Plays/Musicals and more. His plays include Al's Business Cards, Dance Lessons, and The Mnemonist Of Dutchess County - all published by Samuel French - and Charlatan, starring award-winning mentalist Vinny DePonto. His burrito recipe "Josh's Famous Burritos" is published in the New York Times. B.A. Bard College, M.F.A. Columbia University.

Andrew Neisler (Director) is a Georgia-raised, Brooklyn-based theatre artist and director. Recent directing credits include Andrew Farmer's critically acclaimed The Gray Man(Pipeline Theatre Company), site-specific Mermaiden: or, the Monogamy (Spring Street Social Society), Boats And (Ars Nova), Streepshow: Episodes 1, 2, and 3 (Ars Nova and Dixon Place), Melancholy Play (Strasberg Institute), NY Times' Critics' Pick Clown Bar (The Box), and Drama Desk nominated Charlatan (Ars Nova). He is currently under commission at Ars Nova (New York City's premiere hub for new talent) developing Bull's Hollow, a trilogy of theatre and music, with frequent collaborators playwright Jaclyn Backhaus and composer Mike Brun. He is in development with writer/composer Cesar Alvarez on his new musical The Elementary Spacetime Show. He has worked on new plays with Naked Angels, Primary Stages, New York Theatre Workshop, HERE Arts, The Lark, Ensemble Studio Theatre, University of the Arts and more. He is a co-founder/co- director of the arts development group Fresh Ground Pepper (fgpnyc.com) and a Teaching Artist at Playwrights Horizons Theatre School/NYU. He is a member of the Ars Nova Director's Troupe and an alumnus of the Soho Rep Writer/Director Lab and the Civilians R&D Group. He was the 2014 Director-in-Residence at Ars Nova.

Eva Price (Producer) is a Tony Award-winning producer whose credits include over 15 Broadway plays, musicals, and concerts. She is a member of The Broadway League's Board of Governors and was named one of Crain's NY 40 Under Forty Rising Business Stars. Current and notable productions include: Dear Evan Hansen (6 Tony Awards), On Your Feet! (The Story of Gloria and Emilio Estefan), Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons on Broadway!, Peter and the Starcatcher (5 Tony Awards), Colin Quinn Long Story Short(directed by Jerry Seinfeld), Annie (Tony-Nominated Musical Revival), The Merchant of Venice starring Al Pacino (Tony-Nominated Play Revival), Carrie Fisher's Wishful Drinking, The Addams Family (starring Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth), as well as several solo shows and critically acclaimed concerts starring The Temptations & The Four Tops, Kathy Griffin, Lewis Black and Hershey Felder. For five years Eva worked as an assignment editor and coordinating producer for special projects at ABC News, spending her last year producing and reporting on stories relating to Broadway for ABCNEWS.COM. Upcoming projects include Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill.
