The Mentalist, starring Simon Baker and airing on TF1, was responsible for 20 of the Top 100 telecasts in France this year, further confirming its position as the most popular TV series in France. The Mentalist accounted for the #1 single telecast of any scripted series this year, with 9.4 million viewers on October 8th.

Person of Interest, an action-packed series from producers Jonathan Nolan & J.J Abrams, launched on TF1 this year and entered the Top 100 with 4 telecasts, including The March 20th episode, which garnered 7.5 million viewers. The series returns to the air today (January 14th at 8.50pm) on TF1.

The Mentalist and Person of Interest are distributed in France by Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, a division of Warner Bros. Entertainment France.

The Mentalist stars Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Simon Baker as Patrick Jane, an independent consultant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who has a remarkable track record for solving serious crimes by using his razor-sharp skills of observation. Formerly employed by the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Jane spent his time there solving cases while tracking the serial killer known as Red John, who murdered Jane's wife and daughter. His last act at CBI was to finally find Red John and kill him.

After spending two years off the grid, Jane cut a deal with the FBI to work for them, bringing with him former CBI Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon, the only person who seems to be able to keep Jane's theatrics and lack of boundaries under control. Jane and Lisbon work with their former fellow CBI agent Kimball Cho, and FBI Agent Kim Fischer, and are supervised by the no-nonsense Agent Dennis Abbott. The rest of the former CBI team, Wayne Rigsby and Grace Van Pelt, have started their own security firm, but keep in touch with their former colleagues.
