David Zinn has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play for Roundabout Theatre Company's The Humans. Zinn's other Broadway credits include set and costume design for FUN HOME (Tony Award nomination) and THE LAST SHIP, set design for THE REAL THING and VIOLET, and costume design for AIRLINE HIGHWAY (Tony nomination), OTHER DESERT CITIES, GOOD PEOPLE, XANADU and IN THE NEXT ROOM OR THE VIBRATOR PLAY (Tony nomination).

Off Broadway credits inlcude set design for Hir and set and scenic design for 'The Flick', 'Circle Mirror Transformation', 'Choir Boy' and 'Dogfight.'

His credits include productions at the Public Theater, MCC, Elevator Repair Service Theater and Target Margin Theater.

The Broadway production of Stephen Karam's much-raved-about new play, The Humans, began performances at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street) on Saturday, January 23, 2016, and opened officially on Thursday, February 18. Directed by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello, the play featured its entire acclaimed current Off-Broadway cast.

The ensemble cast, all of whom were featured in the current smash-hit Off-Broadway production at Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd HaimesArtistic Director), includes Cassie Beck (Aimee), Reed Birney (Erik), Jayne Houdyshell (Deirdre)Lauren Klein (Fiona "Momo" Blake), Arian Moayed (Richard) and Sarah Steele (Brigid).
