On the final night of her reign as World Queen of the Cocoa Bean, the glamorous, often eccentric and hilariously unpredictable Cookie Conwell (Emily McNamara) fulfills her lifelong dream of hosting "The Chocolate Show!," where she must choose her successor. Who will be the next to wear the solid chocolate crown? How will Cookie handle the transfer of power? And, oh yeah, is chocolate really bad for dogs? These pressing questions and more are answered in this 90-minute, mouth-watering musical comedy celebrating the world's favorite obsession. Join Cookie and the fabulous Chocolate Layer Players for this joyful and delicious theatrical event filled with thoroughly catchy songs, hilarious comedy sketches, audience participation (volunteer-only) and, of course, lots of chocolate. In addition to McNamara, the cast includes Laura D'Andre, Talene Monahon, Andrew Pandaleon and James Patterson. And, while everyone LOVES chocolate, The Chocolate Show! will be most appreciated by chocoholics age eight and up. Scenic designer for The Chocolate Show! is Steven C. Kemp, the lighting designer is Jimmy Lawlor, costume designer is Orli Nativ and sound designer is Nick Kourtides. The production is produced by Golly Gee Productions.

To celebrate the opening night of The Chocolate Show!, sponsor Fritz Knipschildt will offer the world's most expensive chocolate truffle to each member of the opening night audience. Knipschildt, Maitre Chocolatier of Knipschildt Chocolatier, created this 42 gram1.5 ounce confection about two years ago. The sweet indulgence is hand-crafted using a dark chocolate, classic ganache and a French Perigord truffle. The ganache is made using 71% single Ecuadorian dark chocolate mixed with fresh cream that has been infused for 24 hours with the flavor of vanilla pods and pure Italian truffle oil. The ganache is then shaped around the French Perigord truffle (the truffle alone costs up to $1,000 per pound/454 grams), then dipped in 71% single bean Ecuadorian chocolate and rolled in cocoa powder. What really makes the Madeline truffle so exquisite is the time and energy that goes into it. The ganache, for example, must be whipped repeatedly to make it as soft and silky as possible, then it must be chilled so that it is easier to work with. It's a long and painstaking process, and when you realize how much work has gone into it, you realize that it is worth every penny. These special truffles are at least 2 inches in diameter and each is individually wrapped in a gold bag. Other sponsors of The Chocolate Show! include 2beans, City Bakery and Amy's Bread.
