TENET, one of New York's preeminent vocal ensembles combines forces with the highly acclaimed chamber ensembleThe Sebastians in a performance of ODES: A Celebration of St. Cecilia. Works to be performed include odes by Henry Purcell and a tribute to Benjamin Britten on his birthday during this anniversary year. TENET will perform his poignant and beloved Hymn to St. Ceciliafor unaccompanied choir in an intimate, one-voice-per-part scoring. The performance is part of TENET's fifth anniversary festivities and takes place at 7PM on November 22, St. Cecilia's Day at St. Luke in the Fields (487 Hudson Street, New York).

Henry Purcell including Welcome to all the pleasures, Laudate Cecilium, Raise, raise the voice, along with instrumental selections to include Purcell's famous 3 Parts upon a ground and Sonata No. 3 in A minor (Z. 804, Sonata's in four parts, London, 1697).

Hailed as a "golden soprano" by the New York Times, Artistic Director Jolle Greenleaf has established herself as a leading specialist in early music, particularly as a soloist in oratorios by Bach, Handel, Haydn, Purcell, Mozart, and notably Claudio Monteverdi. As TENET's Artistic Director, she creates and performs virtuoso programs sung one voice to a part. She can be heard on the Grammy nominated CD O Magnum Mysterium, a newly released recording with
Molly Quinn entitled UNO + ONE: Italia Nostra, a disc of songs by Charpentier with AsproDolce, the live 2010 and 2012 recordings of the Green Mountain Project's Vespers of 1610 and Grand Festive Vespers in Venice ca. 1640, and TENET's A Feast for the Senses.
The Sebastians are a dynamic and vital musical ensemble specializing in music of the Baroque and Classical eras. Lauded as "everywhere sharp-edged and engaging" (The New York Times), the Sebastians have also been praised for their "well-thought-out articulation and phrasing" (Early Music Review) and "elegant string playing... immaculate in tuning and balance" (Early Music Today). Winners of the Audience Prize at the 2012 Early Music
America Baroque Performance Competitions, the Sebastians were also finalists in the 2011 York International Early Music Competition and the 2011 Early Music America/Naxos Recording Competition.
