MilwaukeeJobs.com is pleased to announce additional schedule information for the Live @ Peck Pavilion closing celebration, Taste of Islands.

Planned as a mini festival celebrating the music, food and culture of Cuba and the Dominican Republic, Taste of Islands will be presented on the Marcus Center grounds today, August 22 from 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm.

The updated schedule is as follows:

Music:

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm - Madisalsa

7:00 pm - 10:00 pm - De La Buena

Dance Lessons:

2:30 pm and 6:30 pm plus before Madisalsa and De La Buena -Salsabrosa Dance Company will offer FREE Salsa dance lessons. The company will also perform at the top of each band's set.

Visual Art:

2:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Hands-on kids crafts

4:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Paint (and Mojitos) with ARTE Studio. ARTE Studio of the Wauwatosa Village will offer open canvas painting for $5 and $10 (not including beverage) depending on canvas size. They will have step by step instructions to help you create your own masterpiece!

Kids Activities:

2:00 pm - 7:00 pm - Hands-on kids crafts

2:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm - Multi-lingual storytelling with Sadarri and Company

4:30 pm - 7:30 pm - Face Painting

5:00 pm - Drumming Workshop

6:00 pm - Danceworks Mad Hot Salsa Lesson

Other experiences:

School of Rum with Brugal Rum (21+ only)

Cigar Rolling Demonstration

All performances and interactive experiences (with the exception of Paint+Mojitos) are free. Artist vendors will be on site with original work available for purchase. Sazamas River's Edge Patio will be providing authentic food and beverages that will be available for purchase all day. No carry in food or beverages are allowed. Marcus Center's Peck Pavilion features fixed seats in a covered pavilion along the beautiful Milwaukee Riverwalk. Event is presented rain or shine.
