TACT/The Actors Company Theatre (Scott Alan Evans, Cynthia Harris and Simon Jones, C0-Artistic Directors), the critically-acclaimed company dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit, have announced a series of post performance discussions to follow select performances of its upcoming production of The Cocktail Party, T.S. Eliot's profound exploration of self deception and redemption.

In addition to regularly scheduled talk-backs with the director and cast following every Sunday matinee performance of The Cocktail Party, the company will present "Cocktail Chatter," a unique talk-back series with noted Eliot scholars, Broadway veterans from past productions of the play, as well as members of the clergy and the field of mental health. The series is as follows:

Friday, March 26 (Directly following the 7:30 P.M. performance)
FROM THE DRAWING ROOM TO THE PSYCHIATRIST'S CHAIR:
Exploring T.S. Eliot's "The Cocktail Party"
The comic, drawing-room setting of "The Cocktail Party" masks the darker, serious themes of one of T.S. Eliot's most critically acclaimed and popular works. Featuring analysis of the play's psychological and religious themes of martyrdom, spirituality and human relations.

Hosted by Dr. Matthew Bolton, academic dean of the English department at Loyola School in New York City, and member of the T.S. Eliot Society. Featuring Fr. John R. Sheehan of New York's St. Malachy's Church (the Actors' Chapel) and noted New York psychotherapist Laurence Schwartz.

Friday, April 2nd (Directly following the 7:30 P.M. performance)
THE PARTY CONTINUES
Members of the cast of the most recent Broadway production of "The Cocktail Party" reunite more than 40 years later to discuss the play with Scott Alan Evans, director of the TACT revival. Featuring Tony Award-winning actress Frances Sternhagen (The Heiress, "Julie and Julia," "Sex in the City") and Broadway veteran Patricia Conolly (Is He Dead?, The Coast of Utopia, Enchanted April).

Hosted by Scott Alan Evans, TACT/The Actors Company Theatre Co-Artistic Director.
