Prolific singer/songwriter Suzanne Vega will perform at the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center tonight, November 1 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $30, $45, $50 and are available online at www.whbpac.org.

With her stark, vibrato-less voice, Suzanne Vega seamlessly melds poetic lyrics with contemporary folk song structures to create a sound that is distinctively her own. Her latest release, Tales From the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles, opens the door to an eclectic mix of carefully crafted works that give us a peek into her mastery.

Vega was one of the first female singer/songwriters who rose to fame in the early '90s folk-pop scene. Inspired by Leonard Cohen, as well as Lou Reed and Bob Dylan, Vega's music laid the groundwork for what became the trademark sound of Lilith Fair (a tour on which she was a regular). Her hit single "Luka" went platinum, peaking at number three on the American pop charts and was eventually nominated for three Grammys.

Performing songs from her new album as well as her greatest hits, this skillful storyteller will take you on a sonic journey through her diverse influences and into her unique worldview.
