Cristin Milioti - NBC's A to Z

Premieres Thursday, October 2 (9:30-10 p.m. ET)

Tony nominee and star of Broadway's 'Once,' Cristin Milioti heads straight from her appearance in the final season of CBS's 'How I Met Your Mother' to the new NBC romantic comedy A to Z.

"A to Z" tells the story of Andrew (Ben Feldman, "Mad Men," "The Mindy Project") and Zelda (Cristin Milioti, "The Wolf of Wall Street," "How I Met Your Mother) - a pair that almost wasn't - and all that happened from the day they met. Andrew and Zelda will date for eight months, three weeks, five days and one hour. This program is a comprehensive account of their relationship - from "A to Z."

ABC's Galavant - Midseason

Described as "a musical comedy fairytale of epic proportions", Glavant will treat viewers to the Broadway and Hollywood award-winning musical team of composer Alan Menken ("The Little Mermaid," "Aladdin," "Beauty and the Beast") and lyricist Glenn Slater ("Tangled") -

Once upon a time, the dashing hero, Galavant (Joshua Sasse), lost the love of his life, Madalena (Mallory Jansen), to the evil King Richard (Timothy Omundson). Now, our fallen hero is ready to take revenge and restore his "happily ever after." But it won't be without a few twists and turns along the way.

"Galavant" stars Joshua Sasse as Galavant, Timothy Omundson as King Richard, Vinnie Jones as Gareth, Mallory Jansen as Madalena, Karen David as Isabella and Luke Youngblood as Sid.

Viola Davis - ABC's How to Get Away with Murder
Premieres Thursday, September 25, 10:00-11:00 p.m.

Viola Davis, who took home the 2010 Tony Award for Best Lead Actress in Broadway's Fences, will star as Criminal Law professor Annalise Keating, described as brilliant, passionate, creative and charismatic.

She's also everything you don't expect - sexy, glamorous, unpredictable and dangerous. As fearless in the courtroom as she is in the classroom, Annalise is a defense attorney who represents the most hardened, violent criminals - people who've committed everything from fraud to arson to murder - and she'll do almost anything to win their freedom.

Patina Miller, Bebe Neuwirth - CBS's Madame Secretary

Premieres Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014 on the CBS Television Network

Tony Award Winner Patina Miller plays press coordinator Daisy Grant while two-time Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth takes on the role of White House Chief of Staff Nadine Tolliver, in this new CBS drama. Téa Leoni stars as Elizabeth McCord, the shrewd, determined, newly appointed Secretary of State who drives international diplomacy, battles office politics and circumvents protocol as she negotiates global and domestic issues, both at the White House and at home.

Laurie Metcalf - CBS's The McCarthys

Premieres Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014

Tony nominee and three-time Emmy Award winner Laurie Metcalf portrays matriarch Marjorie McCarthy in this family comedy about a sports-crazed Boston clan whose somewhat athletically challenged son, Ronny, is chosen by his father to be his assistant high school basketball coach, much to the surprise of his more qualified siblings. Ronny wants nothing more than to move away, join the singles scene and find a partner. His distraught mother is not upset that her favorite son is gay, but that he wants to leave Boston and his family.

Martin Short - FOX's Mulaney

Premieres Sunday Oct. 5, 2014 9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT

Tony recipient for his performance in Broadway's Little Me, funnyman Martin Short stars as self-centered comedy legend and game show host Lou Cannon in this multi-camera ensemble comedy about a rising stand-up comic trying to take his career to the next level and the friends and mentors who lift him up, hold him back and push him around.

Debra Messing - NBC's Mysteries of Laura

Series Premiere: Sunday, September 24 (8-9 p.m. ET)

'Will and Grace' star Debra Messing, who recently made her Broadway debut in 'Outside Mullingar' returns to TV as Laura Diamond, a brilliant NYPD homicide detective who balances her "Columbo" day job with a crazy family life that includes two unruly twin boys and a soon-to-be ex-husband (Josh Lucas) -- also a cop -- who just can't seem to sign the divorce papers. Between cleaning up after her boys and cleaning up the streets, she'd be the first to admit she has her "hot mess" moments in this hilariously authentic look at what it really means to be a "working mom" today.

Neil Simon's The Odd Couple on CBS

Premieres during the 2014-2015 season

Friends star Matthew Perry and Reno 911!'s Thomas Lennon will co-star in a modernized version of Neil Simon's 1965 Broadway comedy about polar opposites who attempt to co-habitate. Perry takes on the role of endearing slob Oscar Madison while Lennon portrays uptight neat freak Felix Unger, two former college buddies who become unlikely roommates after the demise of their marriages. It's not long after Oscar lets Felix move in that Oscar fears he's made a monumental mistake. However, despite how exasperated they make each other, these mismatched friends agree they can help each other move on from their divorces and somehow make their crazy living arrangement work.

Sutton Foster - TV Land's Younger

TV Land's newest original series "Younger," stars Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, just off her Tony nominated role in Broadway's Violet. Hilary Duff, Debi Mazar and Miriam Shor also star in the single-camera project, which follows 40-year-old Liza (Foster), a suddenly single mother who tries to get back into the working world, only to find out it's nearly impossible to start at the bottom at her age. When a chance encounter with a 20-something guy at a bar convinces her she looks younger than she is, Liza tries to pass herself off as 26 -- with the help of a makeover, courtesy of her best friend Maggie (Mazar). Armed with new confidence, she lands a job as an assistant to the temperamental Diana (Shor) and teams up with her new co-worker and fellow 20-something Kelsey (Duff) to make it in the career of her dreams.

Rory O'Malley, Kelsey Grammer - FX's Partners

Series premieres today, Monday, August 4 • 9PM

Two Broadway vets, Rory O'Malley (Book of Mormon) and Kelsey Grammer (La Cage Aux Folles) team up in FX's Partners, a half-hour, multi-camera comedy centered on the newly established partnership of high-end elitist lawyer Allen Braddock (Kelsey Grammer) and for-the-people, ethics driven lawyer Marcus Jackson (Martin Lawrence). O'Malley takes on the role of Marcus' ambivalent assistant, "Michael."

Other Broadway stars heading to TV this fall:

Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy and Denis O'Hare join Ryan Murphy's AMERICAN HORROR STORY: FREAK SHOW, coming to FX this October. Recent reports reveal that series fan Neil Patrick Harris may even make a guest starring appearance!

Rosie O'Donnell (Grease, Seussical) reclaims her hosting chair on ABC's THE VIEW.

Rent star Taye Diggs and Tony winner Michael Cerveris are set for recurring roles on CBS's THE GOOD WIFE.

Laura Benanti joins cast member and Broadway vet Will Chase for a recurring role on ABC's NASHVILLE.
