The annual gala benefit for Landmark on Main Street takes place on this Saturday evening, November 6, 2010 with a special performance by Broadway's leading lady Sutton Foster and a post-concert celebration in the tented Spotlight Club. Larry O. Tietz and Frank C. Ullman will be honored for their contributions to the organization and the community. Limited tickets are available for the gala - including the affordably-priced "concert-only" tickets at $95.

Landmark's spotlight shines on Sutton Foster, who most recently starred on Broadway in Shrek: The Musical. An extraordinary vocalist, she played the leading roles in Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Little Women: The Musical. Sutton received the 2002 Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her radiant performance in the title role of Thoroughly Modern Millie. Her new cabaret show at Joe's Pub and Feinstein's at the Regency received rave reviews. The upcoming Broadway production of Cole Porter's musical Anything Goes is slated to open in April 2011 - with Sutton starring.

A Landmark tradition, for the full Gala ticket purchasers, the elegant gala reception follows the concert in the Spotlight Club - a beautiful tentEd Hall adjacent to the theater. The cuisine is inspired by three of the great roles created by the evening's star - each taking place in a different time and place: Jo March in Little Women, The Musical - 19th Century New England; Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie - 1920's New York City, and Princess Fiona in Shrek, The Musical - long ago and 'Far, Far Away.'
The Spotlight Gala is Landmark's most important fundraising event of the year when community members can take in a world-class performance and celebrate with friends - while providing essential support for this not-for-profit organization. Landmark is also the home of the Parent Resource Center, the Port Washington Children's Center, the Teen Center, and the Doctors' Gym that all serve the community.
