The Bijou Theatre presents "Vegas Lounge" for the second year in a row after a sold out show last year. "Vegas Lounge" includes the vocal talent of Steve D'Agostino singing the songs from the Great American Songbook, along with the comedic tales of local comedian, Kevin Dolan. "Vegas Lounge" is one performance only on Saturday, October 11th, at 8:00pm. Tickets are $30 for theatre seating, and $35 for table/high top seating.

Steve D'Agostino has been performing the songs from the "Great American Songbook" for over 20 years. His journey to a commitment of "expression" through the music and lyrics made popular around the world by vocalists such as Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin and all of Tin Pan Alleyis evident in every performance. Steve's experience shows as he tenderly delivers melodies on ballads or relaxes the placement of a lyric on any "medium" to "up-tempo" swing tune. This vocal artistry has taken Steve from "coast to coast", and through the dedication of he and his live band Steve has become "the standard" of this genre of music on the national scene. In addition to regular engagements at some of the finest restaurants and nightclubs in Connecticut, Steve's performing credits include appearances at The Paris Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT, The Pequot Room at Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, CT, and the MGM Grand Theatre.

Steve continues to honor and maintain the tradition of the Great American Songbook today by humbly interpreting the timeless music and lyrics of Cole Porter, Ira Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Johnny Mercer, Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn. Every time he stands in front of an audience, his interpretations of these great American songs reminds his audience about the skill and importance of the "art and craft" of songwriting and public performance.

In just a short time, Kevin Dolan has become a regular on the CT and NY comedy scene. He started out as a professional actor for almost 30 years (until he discovered bacon, steak and chocolate frosting thus ending his time in front of the camera and on stage). Working in episodic television, stage and film, he offers wry observations on a life in show business always narrowly missing that brass ring. He has worked extensively on daytime television (Guiding Light/As the World Turns/All My Children/ One Life to Live); nighttime television (MacGyver "the only kid Mac couldn't save/ Paper Dolls/ Dallas/Falcon Crest; and more); feature films (The Stepford Wives/ 28 Days /Sea of Love / Godzilla) and schlock televisions films (Sharks in Venice 2 / Mother, May I Sleep with Danger); bad theatre (Beneath the Wave - a musical retelling of the Poseidon Adventure and O'HARA !! - a lyric adaptation of Gone with the Wind; Carrie: The Musical to painfully mention just a few...)

Working gigs at Joker's Wild in New Haven, Marisa's in Trumbull, Costa Azzura in Milford, Little Mo's in Stratford, The Funny Bone in Hartford, Eastville Comedy Club and Gotham in NYC and many others, he always tries to find the funny in everything! His observational brand of comedy is safe and fun for all ages.
