MAYBE THIS IS IT! -- a new comedy written and performed by Steve Bakunas, a self-described Road Scholar -- will be presented for four performances only May 23 to 26 at TBG Theatre (312 W. 36 St.) in New York City.

Mr. Bakunas -- widely known in music circles as the percussionist with the jazz trio that accompanies the actress/singer Linda Lavin in concert -- has, through the years, earned the nickname Road Scholar. MAYBE THIS IS IT! depicts Steve's singular life and travels during which he has spanned the globe, amassing 80 jobs on his resume: from circus worker to car salesman, limo, taxi, truck and school bus driver, street preacher, artist, mechanic, Broadway actor, jazz drummer, designer, builder, etc.

While performing this solo play, Mr. Bakunas will at the same time assemble the show's set and props, and also paint a portrait on a blank canvass in the process. Steve has previously presented dramatic evenings during which he painted portraits of others sitting with him on stage as they've told the stories of their own lives.

The play will perform May 23 to 26 at 8 pm. Tickets are $15 and can be reserved at brownpapertickets.com.

MAYBE THIS IS IT! is presented by Unlimited Possibilities.
