STELLA ADLER LAB THEATRE COMPANY has announced its 2015 Summer Production. Alan Bennett's The History Boys to be directed by Academy Award winner Milton Justice. Justice directed the critically acclaimed production Six Degrees of Separation, in the Lab Theatre's 2014 season. Performance dates are June 19 through July 19.

Winning over 30 major awards, including Tony and Olivier Awards for Best New Play, The History Boys follows the senior year of eight history students in the north of England as they try to crack admission to Oxford and Cambridge. Unruly, bright, talented and amusing, these boys are in pursuit of sex, sport and acceptance at a good university. Their overeager Headmaster, a maverick teacher and a new instructor whose mandate is to get the boys to think outside the box to get noticed guide their pursuits. This hilarious and deeply moving play explores the anarchy of adolescence and provokes questions about the true purpose of education.

The production stars the critically acclaimed Tim McNeil (2014 Los Angeles Times Critics' Pick The Twilight of Schlomo, LADCC Best Play of 2008 Anything) and Bonnie McNeil who was nominated for Best Actress by the LADCC (2012).

THE HISTORY BOYS is presented by the Stella Adler Lab Theatre Co., and is produced by Rochelle Rossman.
