Standing Room Only Theatre Company Presents DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, Now thru 10/18

Standing Room Only Theatre Company is staged tonight, October 9, through October 18, 2015 in the Shedd Theatre, Columbus Performing Arts Center, 549 Franklin Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is a new and shocking version of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale of lust, love and horror. On the fog-bound streets of Victorian-era London, Henry Jekyll's experiments with exotic "powders & tinctures" have brought forth his other self - Edward Hyde, a sensualist and villain free to commit the sins Jekyll is too civilized to comprehend. The two sides battle each other in a deadly game of cat-and-mouse to determine who shall be the master and who his slave. Denison alum Jeffrey Hatcher has written a play that honors the original but gives a more complex interpretation of mankind's dual relationship with good and evil that is simultaneously sexy and smart.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is directed by Standing Room Only Theatre Company's Artistic Director, Patrick McGregor. The cast includes Ken Erney (Man 1), R.J. Shuman (Man 2), James Harper (Man 3), Joe Dallacqua (Man 4), Erica Beimesche (Woman 1) and Catherine Cryan (Woman 2).

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde show times and dates are 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9; 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10; 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11; 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16; 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17 and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18. Tickets for all shows are $21 for adults, $18 for senior citizens (55+), $16 for SRO members, $12 for students. Tickets can be purchased by going to the website at www.srotheatre.org.
