Broadway Worldwide Inc, executed two significant distribution deals in late July to bring its Direct from Broadway titles to viewers across the country through SpectiCast's all digital network of theatrical exhibition venues and Swank Motion Pictures' extensive non theatrical market reach that includes cruise ships, schools, churches and hospitals.

The Direct From Broadway titles captured by Broadway Worldwide and included in these distribution agreements are: the 2010 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical MEMPHIS, Broadway's longest running musical revue SMOKEY JOE'S CAFÉ: THE SONGS OF LEIBER AND STOLLER, Stephen Sondheim's PUTTING IT TOGETHER: A MUSICAL REVIEW starring Carol Burnett, JEKYLL & HYDE THE MUSICAL starring David Hasselhoff and the Tony Award-winning Duke Ellington'S SOPHISTICATED LADIES. Established in 1995, Broadway Worldwide was first-to-market in the high definition, surround sound production and worldwide distribution of Broadway musicals captured live-in-performance for digital cinema, DVD and television.

SpectiCast will license, distribute and market the Direct From Broadway titles as a series of big screen, high definition exhibitions in performing arts centers, independent cinemas, art houses and museums nationwide this fall.

"This is significant for both our company and the Broadway industry because it marks the first time Broadway content is being exhibited as aseries in a big screen experience - similar to what The Met Live in HD has been doing very successfully for several years now," said Mark Rupp, president of SpectiCast.

"We're passionate about genuine Broadway entertainment, so we're thrilled that audiences across the country will be able to experience the joy of seeing A real BROADWAY show that has been captured live-in-performance during the show's New York run, onscreen in their neighborhood cinema or local performing arts center, said Bruce Brandwen, president of Broadway Worldwide.

SpectiCast is the fastest growing all-digital distribution company in the world, distributing film, cultural arts events, and alternative content program around the globe. A privately owned and operated firm based in Philadelphia, SpectiCast markets and distributes 2D and 3D programs using the industry's most advanced technologies. Their distribution roster includes world-class theater events such as Great Expectations from London's Vaudeville Theatre, Stephen Sondheim's Company and The Phantom of the Opera from The Royal Albert Hall.

Broadway Worldwide's multi-year agreement with Swank also includes a sixth title, the Broadway musical TINTYPES. Swank's distribution reach will give millions of Broadway lovers the chance to see a first class Broadway show on the big screen in their school, church, community center or aboard a cruise ship.

Founded in 1937, Swank Motion Pictures, Inc. is the world's largest non-theatrical distributor of motion pictures for public performance and the acknowledged leader in the field. Swank provides both public performance licensing rights and licensed movies to numerous non-theatrical markets, including worldwide cruise lines, U.S. colleges and universities, K-12 public schools and libraries, American civilian and military hospitals, and other markets such as parks, art museums and businesses.
