Monty Python's SPAMALOT welcomes Michael Siberry and David Hibbard to the roles of ‘King Arthur' and ‘Patsy' respectively. Siberry and Hibbard will begin performances tonight at the Shubert Theatre (225 West 44th Street).

Siberry joins the Broadway production having originated the role of ‘King Arthur' in SPAMALOT's North American tour. Hibbard returns to Camelot in the role of ‘Patsy,' Arthur's faithful manservant.

Siberry and Hibbard join Merle Dandridge as ‘Lady of the Lake,' Tom Deckman, Rick Holmes, Bradley Dean, and Wally Dunn. On Friday, September 19, music superstar Clay Aiken returns to the role of ‘Sir Robin.'

SPAMALOT features a book and lyrics by Eric Idle, music by John Du Prez and Eric Idle, direction by Mike Nichols, choreography by Casey Nicholaw and is based on the screenplay of Monty Python and the Holy Grail by Monty Python creators Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin, with an entirely new score with two songs from the 1975 film and the Python classic "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" from 1979's The Life of Brian.

SPAMALOT won the 2005 Tony Award for Best Musical, the 2005 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, and the 2005 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Musical. The musical was honored with three 2008 Broadway.com Audience Awards including Favorite Long Running Musical.

In addition, to the Tony Award for Best Musical, SPAMALOT received the Tony Award for Best Direction of a Musical (Mike Nichols) and Best Featured Actress in a Musical (Sara Ramirez).

BIOGRAPHIES
Michael Siberry (King Arthur). Broadway credits include Gratiano in The Merchant of Venice with Dustin Hoffman and Captain Von Trapp in The Sound of Music opposite Rebecca Luker. He starred as "King Arthur" in the National tour of Spamalot. As a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, Michael performed such roles as Parrolles in All's Well That Ends Well, Petrucchio in The Taming of the Shrew and Nicholas in Nicholas Nickleby, which toured to Los Angeles and Broadway. London credits include Billy Flynn in Chicago and Giles in Alan Ayckbourne's House & Garden at The National Theatre of Great Britain. He has recently been seen in Peter Hall's As You Like It (Theatre Royal, Bath), Candida (McCarter Theatre) and Uncle Vanya (McCarter Theatre and LaJolla Playhouse). Film and Television credits include: Silent Witness, The Grand, Jeeves and Wooster, Under the Hammer and Victoria & Albert. Raised in Tasmania Australia, Michael is a graduate of the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney.

David Hibbard (Mayor, Patsy, Guard 2). Broadway: A Class Act (Bobby/Michael Bennett; cast album RCA Victor Broadway); Once Upon a Mattress SJP revival (Jester; cast album RCA Victor Broadway); Cats (Rum Tum Tugger; 2,197 performances). New York: Encores! Can-Can with Patti LuPone, Forbidden B'way Strikes Back!, Lincoln Center Theater's Anything Goes benefit. Numerous television and radio commercials and documentary narrations. Music education degree from Ohio State University. Enjoys life as a teacher at NYU's CAP21 Studios.
