Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Shefali Tsabary reunite for an interactive discussion with families about the conscious evolution of parenting in an all-new episode of the Emmy award-winning series "Oprah's Lifeclass" airing Sunday, September 21 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

Dr. Shefali Tsabary, an expert on family dynamics and personal development, joins the Lifeclass stage once again for an enlightening conversation, this time, in a more intimate setting with a circle of couples who are in the midst of a parenting crisis. The best-selling author of "The Conscious Parent: Transforming Ourselves, Empowering Our Children" and "Out of Control: Why Disciplining Your Child Doesn't Work and What Will" encourages the group to dig deep to explore their own upbringing and past pain to illustrate how it fuels their children's misbehavior. The belief is that this groundbreaking, new approach to parenting, from the inner self first, can help effectively create change in the adult/child relationship and lay the foundation for raising a happier child.

Next week the must-see conversation will continue in "Oprah & Dr. Shefali: the Children Speak Out" airing Sunday, September 28 at 9:00pm ET/PT on OWN.

EXCERPT: Why Oprah Believes Parenting Is a Sacred Calling

OPRAH: So I really, first of all, am honored by your presence here. Because as I've said for as many years as I've done The Oprah Show, I got it early on that this is the -- this is the real deal. And so I think that what you say in the beginning of your book, The Conscious Parent, is that this is the sacred calling, ultimately, that they've all signed up for. And after our last show, you say the questions from parents kept coming. So what is your intention here tonight?

DR. SHEFALI: The intention here is to understand why it is that we react to our children the way we do because we all are longing for that connection with our children. Every one of you wants to know how to connect and how to contain. The dance between offering deep love and security, but also securing that firm boundary. The push in and pull back.
