Skipper Appears as Carol Channing for Bingo and Benefit

Richard Skipper, acclaimed for his impersonations of the star of Hello, Dolly!, will appear at two venues next month.

On September 20th at 9PM, he will appear at the 9th Avenue Bistro (693 9th Ave. btw 47th and 48th) for Will Clark's "Planet Bingo, "a night of Bingo featuring Richard Skipper as Carol Channing!"  There is no cover; funds raised through the sale of Bingo cards go directly to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.
 
On September 23rd at 8pm, he will appear at the South Shore AIDS Project's Annual Fundraiser Event, which will take place at the Pilgrim Memorial Hall, 83 Court Street, Plymouth, MA. The South Shore AIDS Project's goal of $50,000 from the Gala Evening will include: A live Auction, ballotting for the best "New Pilgrim in Drag" and Carol Channing in Concert Starring Richard Skipper. Tickets and VIP tables will be available for advance sale starting May 15, 2006. Tickets range from $35.00 for Balcony seating to $ 200.00 for VIP table seats and include a VIP Cocktail Reception and private time with Skipper. Skipper has performed his Channing show successfully all over the country and Canada. Skipper is a two-time winner of the MAC Award, as well as a three-time nominee. He also won the Backstage Bistro Award for Outstanding Achievement in Impersonation, is a nominee of an IRNE (Independent Reviewers of New England), and in addition to serving on the board of MAC, also serves on the board of IGCITA (The International Guild For Celebrity and Tribute Artists).
