Sierra Boggess to Play Maria in Upcoming Concert of WEST SIDE STORY

It has been announced that Broadway and West End star, Sierra Boggess, has been cast as Maria in an upcoming concert version of the classic musical West Side Story. The performance will be presented as part of the Proms 2018 concert series at London's Royal Albert Hall.

The world's greatest love story takes to the streets in the landmark Broadway musical, West Side Story. Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet is transported to modern day New York City as two young lovers find themselves caught between warring street gangs. Their struggle to survive in a world of hate, violence and prejudice is one of the most innovative, relevant and deeply moving musicals of our time.

Sierra Boggess was last seen on Broadway in the Tony-nominated musical School of Rock. Other Broadway credits include It Shoulda Been You directed by David HydePierce; The Phantom of the Opera (25th Anniversary and opposite Norm Lewis); Master Class (opposite Tyne Daly); and The Little Mermaid (Drama Desk and Drama League nominations, Broadway.com Audience Choice Award). London theatre credits include Les Misérables; The Phantom of the Opera at Royal Albert Hall; and Love Never Dies (Olivier Award nomination).
