Denise Summerford, who has previously been seen as Euan Morton and Kevin Cahoon's "back up diva," will step out for her own solo concert.  She will perform her show "Mellowed" at Ars Nova on December 17th at 8 PM.

Summerford, who is currently one of the stars of Shout! The Mod Musical (in which she plays "The Red Girl"), has been seen on Broadway in Taboo and The Rocky Horror Show.  She also provided vocals for Saturday Night Fever.

Summerford is also a member of the popular sketch comedy group The Water Coolers, and has sung with many national and international recording artists.  She can be heard on various recordings, jingles and voiceovers, and has sung with Kevin Cahoon and Ghetto Cowboy.  She has performed in sold-out shows at such NY venues as CBGB's, Don Hill's, BB Kings, Avalon, The Zipper and Joe's Pub.

Recently, Summerford debuted her solo concert at the Belt Theatre to a sold-out crowd and she can be found singing back up vocals for Rock n' Roll legend Lou Christie.

Tickets are $15, and there is no drink minimum.  Visit www.smarttix.com or www.arsnova.com for tickets and more information.
