Shelly Goldstein will bring "One Fine Day: The Groovy Girls of the 60s" to Catalina's Jazz Club in Los Angeles, tonight, February 19, 2013.
Goldstein's first solo appearance in LA since 2010 is a musical love letter to the Groovy Girls who changed music in the era of 1963-73 -- Dusty Springfield, Carole King, Petula Clark, Mama Cass Elliot, Laura Nyro, Lesley Gore, Lulu, Carly Simon -- as well as some Broadway from the era & Shelly's inimitable song parodies like "Stupid Callous Homophobic Hateful Legislation" and "The Middle Age of Aquarius..."

She wrote the book for the disco musical, LAST DANCE, which work, shopped on Broadway. In 2007 she co-starred in the film, THE RIDDLE with Vanessa Redgrave and Sir Derek Jacobi and in 2009 she co-stars with Vinnie Jones in the Irish independent film, LEGEND OF THE BOG.
Onstage, she is one of the busiest names on the International Cabaret circuit. Her gay marriage song parody STUPID CALLOUS HOMOPHOBIC HATEFUL LEGISLATION went viral on youtube and has been viewed in over a dozen countries - and was translated into French by an enthusiastic fan. It has been played on several radio shows including Frangela's KTLK show in LA.
She is a special guest star on Ray Jessel's CD, NAUGHTY OR NICE and co-starred in the recent Hollywood tribute to Stephen Schwartz: CHANGED FOR GOOD. She starred in London's West End production of JUDY & FRANK.
