Sheldon Harnick to Release 2-Disc CD Set HIDDEN TREASURES on 5/1

Legendary lyricist and beloved SHELDON HARNICK who magically crafted the lyrics toFiddler on the Roof, Fiorello!, Tenderloin, She Loves Me, among many other timeless classics, announces the release of a special 2 Disc CD set titled, Sheldon Harnick: Hidden Treasures, 1949-2013, on May 1st in conjunction with his 90th Birthday.

The album, produced in a partnership with Harbinger Records and The Musical Theater Project includes more than 50 selections of rare demos and cut songs from Mr. Harnick's most popular works, in addition to such rarities from, The Body Beautiful, Trafalgar, Smiling the Boy Fell Dead, Rex and A Wonderful Life, to name a few.

This set is also being released in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Fiddler on the Roof, which debuted on Broadway in September, 1964. Within the box set, you'll also hear seven wonderful songs cut from the score and performed in the original demo by Mr. Harnick and his long time collaborator, Jerry Bock. In addition, the album includes archival recordings by Audra McDonald, Brian d'Arcy James, Hugh Martin, Charlotte Rae and Sheldon's wife, actress and photographer, Margery Gray,among others.

The 2 Disc set includes a deluxe 60-page book, which includes a foreword by Producer/ Director, Harold Prince and notes byKen Bloom, Ted Chapin, Bill Rudman and Sheldon Harnick.
